Bill makes sets in 'F' and D pitch, and also specialises in 3-drone simple (keyless) sets. He cites Robert Adam, the 18th century designer as his principal stylistic influence. He is a registered silversmith, and his trademark is St Cuthberts pectoral cross. He offers free repair and maintenance for 2 years after purchase (not including postage).

He will repair and refurbish pipes, but will not work with ivory; and he could have sets for hire. He will also supply chanter and drone reeds separately

He has been making Northumbrian smallpipes for 29 years, and they constitute about half of his (part-time) business. He also makes various sizes and styles of harps from 22-37 string. Prices for these are available on request.

His current delivery time is around 4 months. No deposit is required, payment is on completion /collection. Prices include cases, but not postage. He could arrange to take credit cards.
