John makes sets in 'F' and G, and describes himself as a 'serious amateur' pipemaker. He has been making sets for 9 years, and has principally learned from Colin Ross and Mike Nelson. He will repair and refurbish pipes of all makes, but will not work with real ivory. He does have 1-2 keyless sets for hire 'at present'. Northumbrian smallpipes constitute all of his business.
John is currently not making any pipes due to pressure of other commitments, but hopes to resume as soon as circumstances permit. He is happy to continue with repair and maintenance work.
He has produced a tutor/maintenance manual for the isolated piper -
