Bruce only makes 7-key sets in 'F' pitch, but has an 'unlimited' production of reeds. He regards David Burleigh and Colin Ross as his principal influence. He will repair and refurbish pipes, but will not work with ivory.
He has been making Northumbrian smallpipes for 8 years, but these constitute only part of his business. He also makes Scottish smallpipes, Border pipes, Uillean pipes, and didgeridoos.
He is currently accepting orders, and delivery time is about a year. A 50% deposit is required, with the balance on completion. Though the price given below is for blackwood, rosewood is also available at 5% less.
